As featured in the Honolulu Star Advertiser, Kapaa High Sophomores will start taking the high-stakes tests next week online here on campus. Here are a few basic ways Parents and Guardians can help support their teens success and overall progress in the days leading up to and during the testing:
- Encourage your teen to check out the sample test, tutorial and other materials available online. www.alohahsa.org. You can review this information with your teen.
- Be aware when the tests will be taking place.
- Ensure your child is rested and well fed and hydrated before and during the testing.
- Keep it positive: offer supportive positive words to your teen, avoid drama or creating added stress
